Foster's Inn is anticipating a strong fall & winter season. We are looking for a confident, industrious line chef to join our team.
Must be an energetic person who is able to multitask at a fast pace and who can think on their feet. You will work in a respectful environment where your efforts will be acknowledged and supported. We truly work as a team . We are committed to providing a safe and inspiring work atmosphere.
Must be able to :
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Prepare, season, and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment
Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation and adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
The function of a Line Chef is to prepare all the components of appetizers and entrees, which range from prepared meats, pastas, side dishes and garnishes. You will participate in the preparation for service.

Foster's Inn, Stratford's original boutique Inn is hiring a housekeeper to join our cleaning team. You will be responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, and notifying maintenance of any issues. You should be able to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness. We are looking for a team member to work approximately 4 days a week from 7 am - 2 pm.
Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained.
Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
Clean and stock restrooms.
Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
Notify managers of necessary repairs.
Collect and dispose of trash.
Assist guests when necessary.
Keep linen room stocked.
Properly clean upholstered furniture.
Ability to manage your time efficiently.
Work well unsupervised.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests.

In this role you will:
• Wash all wares including pots, plans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
• Correctly place and store clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
• Stock serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
• Clean trash receptacles with water or steam.
• Move dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to work area by hand or using hand trucks.
• May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
• Ensure work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
